Recipients: Mrs. Buxton, Lacy (likely T.H. Lacy), and J.R. Ware (possibly J. Redding Ware). (1), dated August 1860, is a letter of introduction for Miss [B?]urnett's party, friends of Captain Taylor. (2-3) concern Kate Terry's acting. (2) indicates he has added another passage for the character May Edwards in The ticket-of-leave man. (4) concerns Mrs. Rousby and lists many of her roles, including Cordelia, Ophelia, Beatrice and Benedict. All letters written on letterhead of Local Government Act Office, 8, Richmond Terrace, Whitehall, S.W.
